This is my July page so far. I left a lot of the top paper on to help keep the page clean while I work on it. Living in the dusty desert and having so many pets in the house makes it hard to keep the desert brown from invading every single thing. Can you guess what I am beading a picture of? If not I guess you'll have to wait to find out! Check back again. I love the visits to my blog. Oh, I will tell you that the little yellow item is a duck! I couldn't find anything small enough so I made one by connecting small beads.

it looks to me like you are beading an inground pool and a patio table with nice shady palm tree. is this in your backyard or of a famous place!
Looks great and can't wait to see it finished!
Oh fun, I love the duck.
I would say from this your enjoying this page for sure.

My mouth just dropped open at seeing your July page - the imagery is so strong, and so where I want to be right now!!! I can't wait to watch your progress.
P.S. How many sisters do you have? I have 2, and they live in the desert in Arizona (along with my mother).
As a2susan says, your imagery is strong, unmistakable, compelling and fun! It will be exciting to see it progress!
Smart idea to keep your pink felt (is it felt?) clean by sewing paper on top of it!
Are you sitting by this pool, sipping something cool? :o) Lillian (didn't mean to rhyme...)
What a wonderful image for this time of year. It looks like a great place to relax. Love your duck! -Karen
What fun! And it looks so inviting...when you're done maybe we can all come over and take a dip?
Let us know when the pool is open for visitors! (Do we have to bring our own floaties?)
I'm glad you told me it was a duck. Yikes, I have to go water my eyes. I have dry eye, you see and use the tears.
Looks like a very relaxing place to spend July.
I love what you are doing. It is amazing how just the beginning of your project can paint such a detailed picture. I can't wait to see the next update.
Yep, it's a pool! And a table with an umbrella. I thought about adding a palm tree but don't think I will have room if I want the fireworks I plan to add. I am enjoying this page so far. I guess I am really into nostalgia, this is the pool I grew up with.
Yes, Robin it is felt. Wool felt. I am finding it a breeze to bead but not to mark a pattern on, that's why the top paper is added for outlining.
As for rhyming Lillian, that's as close to poetry as I can get! I'll have to remember to post a picture of me sitting at that table by the pool (taken many moons ago). I don't know if I have something cool to drink in that picture though.
If I could still use that pool (the house was sold 2 years ago), I would definitey invite everyone for a dip!!
Oh, this will be great fun to watch develop! I love your choice of background color.
