BJP Progress

I've been making progress on a lot of fronts. I'm taking drawing classes online with one of my granddaughters but I won't bother you with my homework pages. I'm starting a face pin trying techniques and the idea I saw on Grace's blog
And last, but certainly not least, I have been working on finishing my last page of last years BJP and on this years first page. I feel like I'm doing pretty well. Hope I can keep up the momentum.

hi, Freebird. I love what you are doing with your last page - all of your pages have been wonderful and I've enjoyed the stories that accompany them. For some reason, this page just seems to sing to me!
And a whole new look for 08!
Yours, Susan

Hi there - I like your red circle with the "wedding ring" quilt theme. The textures are so different and the colors are great. The yellow piece is wonderful, too. You do such good work. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Freebird! I love all your beadwork - especially the bunny basket and the piece for your mother with the beautiful tree. Did you use 15/0s on these pieces? The details are amazing!

Love the red circle!!! That has come along wonderfully! The Yellow page is wonderful too - with the peyote down and the yellow circles. Isn't it interesting how the one yellow recedes on the page, forcing the other one to be more bold? A great play with finishes!
Cheers, Denise

I think you are doing great! I've gotten slowed down by ( and I love this saying, ) gut rot this week, but hope to get back to beading next week. Good work!

Looks like the BJPers are off to a good start! Lots of enthusiasm in the comments just here on your blog!

I really like what you've done so far with the yellow piece for this year. I've just finished up my journal quilt for May (08) but haven't posted it yet. And I still have two more journal quilts to finish from last year's BJP!

These are both fabulous, Timaree!!! I especially loved the enlarged version of the circle piece... the design and all the variations in each section of it are mesmerizing (sp?)... I studied it for ages... can't wait to see it finished. Bravo! Robin A.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'm glad you like the new direction I am taking for this year. An impromtu trip to California didn't help but am getting more done now - again!!

Now, I am unpacked and have sewn on a few more beads I want to get back to seeing what you are all up to. See you soon!
